Intellectual Property (IP) Statement
Last updated: 24 April 2025
At Apawrel, we are proud to create unique, one-of-a-kind items using exclusively upcycled, repurposed and second-hand materials.
Our mission is to reduce landfill waste, celebrate creativity, and give new life to discarded goods through handcrafted design. We take intellectual property rights seriously and understand and respect copyright protections.
We wish to make clear:
-
We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any trademark holders whose brands may appear on the materials we rescue and repurpose.
-
Any use of branded or trademarked imagery is incidental, occurring only when those items are second-hand, and publicly available through thrift shops, donations, or waste streams and acquired legally.
-
Our business model actively avoids use of commercial prints and copyright-protected images unless permission is granted, or the fabric is demonstrably in the public domain or substantially transformed.
-
In all instances where branded or trademarked imagery is used, we clearly label our products as "upcycled by Apawrel", and do not pass off these materials as new or official merchandise.
-
We take intellectual property rights seriously and are happy to work with any rights holders to resolve concerns respectfully and responsibly.
-
If you are a trademark holder with questions about how your brand has been represented in our upcycled work, we invite you to contact us directly at fetch@apawrel.com.au and we will respond promptly.
